ironjeff.com About Me My name is Jeff Huang, also known as Jeff, Jeffy, Jeffoo, Jefferson, Heffer, Otter, or Bear. Iron Jeff is an alias I came up with soon after the show Iron Chef aired on FoodTV... no I don't have an iron prosthetic. Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, I went to high school in Boulder, Colorado and just finished up college at the University of California at Berkeley. I graduated with Honors in Computer Science in May 2005. One of the most rewarding jobs I had at Cal was at the Self Paced Center tutoring CS and non-CS Majors in programming languages and other courses that they take at their own pace. I've done research with Professor Anind Dey and worked on two projects, publishing two papers which you can find under Projects. After he and his wife relocated to Carnegie Mellon University, I pursued some research with Professor Mike Clancy involving CITRUS, and UC-WISE and the planning of the curriculum for many other UC schools, including UC Merced. My post-graduate plans include working at Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer in the Presentations and Graphics group in Mountain View. Future plans consist of attaining an MBA, and starting a company. But until then you can find me skiing in the winter, usually at Heavenly since that's where I got my season pass with my new Rossignol Scratch FS skis. And during the other months I'm playing golf with my new Ping G2 Irons, volleyball, tennis and basketball. Things I like: My dog, skiing, working out, playing golf, trying to cook. Things I like but suck at: Tennis, raquetball, running long distances. Things I don't like: Drinking orange juice after brushing my teeth, Texas, Texans. |
